Didn't realize there was a difference. Anyway the Hullraiser did not fit the factory crossbars of my Nissan Frontier. Returned with no problems and got the Hullraiser Aero which works well. This is my second Yakima rack (first was saddle). I had a Stacker before purchasing the HullRaiser. On my Jeep, the Stacker was up quite high and tough to get the straps on correctly. The HullRaiser was very simple to mount. Very stable when loaded with kayak. Haven't had to use the front and rear tie down straps yet. Only limitation is that I have to be able to get the kayak above my head to be able to hoist it onto the Hullraiser. Not much of a problem for me, but could be if you don't have the upper body strength. May be other ways to get it into place.
