Product Description
Communicate rider to passenger via CDMA crystal clear technology, using either voice activation or push-to-talk. Both rider and passenger module is capable of pairing with up to two accessory devices at the same time. (ex. iPod, Mp3, satellite radio, GPS, cell phone, radar detector) Smart technology will automatically prioritize the transmission of the paired devices. The XBi is so far advanced that it can even stream music from one module to the other. Each module is also capable of being used by itself to pair accessories when riding alone. Other features include: Li-Pol battery (lithium polymer) rechargeable battery with 6-8 True hours of power, 1 hour express charge, noise suppression. Hi-Fi headset, compact aerodynamic module design. Each kit sold individually will include: module, Li-Pol battery, wall charger, headset and mounting hardware.

I was worried as I had tried some other units and could not hear them at speeds over 40MPH, but this unit is Loud! I can hear it fine at 80+MPH. (I ride an 89 Honda CBR600f Hurricane, with a loud Yoshi Pipe.) my main unit is in a VOX Modular helmet, and my secondary is in my Shoei helmet, they link right up when turned on and one of the coolest features (and part of the reason I waited on this unit) was the ability to use only 1 mp3 player (mine is a bluetooth unit called a "Pilot" bought at... Installation was straightforward, despite the rather meager instructions. The microphone for the full-face helmet application is too big -- it's virtually impossible to find a place where it's not against your mouth all the time -- very annoying.Worst of all, however, is the volume. I paired this with my iPhone 4 (very easily), and can hear phone calls, streaming audio, iPod music/podcasts/etc. just fine, AS LONG AS there's no ambient noise at all. Start your motorcycle (even a quiet one like one of mine is), and head off down the road, and you cannot hear anything but a little peep of sound. And YES, the volume on the iPhone AND the volume on the Chatterbox are both up to full-blast. Still, not nearly enough volume to make it usable.
